At LIFESPACE we do church a little differently. We love gathering together corporately, but we also love the genuine friendship, connection and deeper conversation we get to have with our friends in their homes over food! Jesus loved eating and drinking with new friends. In fact, He and his followers were known for it. So we decided, let's do more of that! This is how a month at LIFESPACE looks:
HomeChurch
On the first 3 Sundays of the month, we meet in Oakhust for HomeChurch from 9:30 AM to 12 PM followed by a potluck lunch together.
KidSpace
KidSpace runs at the same time as our HomeChurch gathering. We have a fun kids program with life giving lessons, games, and morning tea.
Sunday Social
Sunday Social happens on the 4th Sunday of every month and is all about creating a space for friendship and connection. Usually, this looks like a picnic in the park, with food, music, games, and fun.
Our Vision
Our heart is that Lifespace Church will be a community that celebrates all kinds of people, following Jesus together. A space to find family and belonging in an atmosphere that is loving and life-giving. A space defined by God’s presence bringing life to every sphere of who we are.

Meet Our Lead Pastors
Tym and Wendy Kent have been married for over 20 years and are parents to their 3 favourite humans, Luca, Eli and Summer. Tym is a huge encourager who loves people. A Chef by trade,he loves a good BBQ with lots of friends. In his downtime you will find him out dirt biking with Eli or out on an adventure with his family and friends. Wendy is an open-hearted, open-minded, lover of people. She spends her free time listening to music with friends, eating good food, watching thought provoking movies and reading good books.
Having been in various leadership roles within their local church for 19 years, in early 2021 they felt God leading them to plant LIFESPACE Church. Wendy and Tym are both passionate about loving God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and loving people as themselves. "We are all made in God's image with beautiful stories and wonderfully unique qualities. We want people to know that they are completely loved by our Heavenly Father who doesn't define us by our failures. We matter so much to Him. There is hope. There is a wonderful wide, open, spacious life on the other side of giving our 'yes' to Jesus". The transformation God has brought about in their individual lives, marriage and family inspires Tym & Wendy to create a community where everyone can be introduced or re-introduced to Jesus and come to know, love and follow Him as part of a close community.
Emotionally Healthy Community
Throughout the year, we run courses on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and Emotionally Healthy Relationships. In these courses you'll learn to slow down your life and develop a personal relationship with Jesus and practical relationship skills to love others well.
